Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Karmalendar (“we”, “us”) handles information in the Karmalendar iPhone app and on www.karmalendar.com. If you have questions, write to contact@karmalendar.com.

The short version

Karmalendar is local-first. The app works without an account. Mood, objectives, Karma, and the name you choose stay on your iPhone. We do not run a user database. We do not sell personal information. We do not show ads. The website does not use analytics cookies.

Who we are

Karmalendar is the operator of the Karmalendar iOS app (App Store ID 6806520279) and this website. Contact: contact@karmalendar.com.

Information stored on your device

When you use the app, the following may be stored locally with Apple’s standard on-device storage (including an App Group so widgets can update):

• First name you enter
• Daily mood and Karma
• Objectives you complete or add, plus weekly and monthly challenges
• Wake time, bedtime, and sleep goal you set
• Notification preferences
• A widget snapshot so Home Screen widgets can show today’s state

This information is not uploaded to Karmalendar servers. We do not operate a cloud sync service for your journal.

Information we do not collect

• No Karmalendar account or password
• No Apple Health, HealthKit, or clinical sleep data
• No advertising identifiers used by us for ads
• No third-party analytics SDK in the app for profiling you
• No precise location collected by us

Purchases and Apple

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Apple handles billing, receipts, and restore purchases. We do not receive your full payment card details. Apple’s handling of that data is described in Apple’s privacy policy. You manage subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules local reminders on your device (for example morning, check-in, and evening). These are not push messages from our servers. You can turn them off in the app or in iOS Settings.

This website

www.karmalendar.com is a static site. We do not place advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser may send standard technical data to whatever host serves the pages (such as IP address and user agent) as part of normal HTTPS requests. We do not use that to build a marketing profile.

If you email us, we will see your email address and whatever you write, and we will keep that only as long as needed to help you.

Children

Karmalendar is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not require an account. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

• You can edit your first name in the app Profile.
• You can turn notifications off.
• You can delete all app data in Settings. That cannot be undone on the device.
• Uninstalling the app removes local data stored with the app, subject to how iOS handles backups you may have made yourself.

International users

Because your journal stays on your device, we do not transfer that journal to our servers. Email you send us is received by our mail provider. Mandatory consumer and privacy rights in your country of residence still apply.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the app or site after an update means you accept the revised policy where permitted by law.
